What is Martial Arts?
Martial Arts refers to all the different combat- and defense training systems, such as Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, Taekwondo. Martial Arts is an umbrella definition for all these training system, as 'ball-sport' is to football, basketball and volleyball.
We give Martial Arts a modern twist
Our Teens Martial Arts program is built on three important pillars; Kickboxing, Taekwondo and Gymnastics. We mix up these training styles in one empowering martial arts work-out. You will not only learn the traditional martial arts skills, but tricks and techniques that are more flashy and complex.
How does it work?
The program gives students a broad introduction to the sport, you get a taste of everything! One class, we will work on powerful Kickboxing combos and valuable self-protection techniques. In another session, we will focus on flashy taekwondo kicks, perfecting that tornado kick or landing that dragon kick. Yet another session, we will discuss the topic self-defense, going out with friends, and how to stay safe and protect yourself.
Gymnastics comes in during the warm-up. Improving your flexibility and learning the basics of gymnastics is a key aspect in martial arts. It enables you to generate more power, kick higher, and move with less restriction. Students will land higher kicks, have more mobility to perform complex kicks and are less prone to injury.
